How premium domain transfers work

A straightforward sequence: agreement, documentation, payment and registrar transfer, handled directly between the parties.

A premium domain transfer is a simple process when both parties are properly represented.

Terms are agreed in principle following private discussion. A short acquisition agreement is then prepared, recording the parties, the asset, the consideration and the transfer mechanism.

Payment is made in accordance with the agreement, using an escrow arrangement where either party prefers it. The domain is then pushed to the acquirer's registrar account, or an authorisation code is issued for transfer to a registrar of their choosing.

Confirmation of control usually follows within a short period. Exact Domains handles each transaction personally rather than through automated marketplace software.
